uno, dos, tres, catorce

Who'd have though it would take us 25 years to see these guys?!? But it did. We joined about 30 other staff and friends from St. Andrew's and rented a bus for a road trip to Charlotte for the Vertigo Tour. Several of us made it into the inner circle and then center stage!

Steve Visits The Diocese of Masindi in Uganda

December brought a long awaited two week visit to The Diocese of Masindi in Uganda. Masindi is about a 3 hour drive north/northwest of Kampala. At the invitation of Bishop Stanley Steve and a team from St. Andrew's led a two day clergy conference then visited each of the Archdeaneries of the Diocese over the next several days. The land was amazing and the people were delightful. The love of Christ had never been more tangible to any of us who traveled to Masindi and we were blessed by the Lord's grace as He has led us into a new relationship with these brothers and sisters in Christ. On our last day we traveled to Murchison Falls National Park - the Nile is an impressive river. We stayed at the Masindi Hotel favored by Hemingway and dripping with colonial charm.

Tim's First NFL Game

A long-suffering Jets fan finally finds the field in his fifteenth year. Fortunately, the Carolina Panthers played the Jets in a 4.00 game allowing Dad to finish Sunday services and make the drive to Charlotte. We had fanstastic 6th row seats. Sadly, the Jets lost.

Back to Ohio for a Good Friend's Wedding

In September Jacqui went back to Ohio for the wedding of a special young woman - hard to believe that she was in our wedding 19 years ago!

Steve's Trip to Israel - March 2005

Fantastic trip to Israel! Having never had the opportunity to visit the Holy Land it was amazing to walk the land of our spiritual ancestors I was overwhelmed to visit sacred places. Highlight of the trip was to preach at the site of the Sermon on the Mount and have a 72 year old lady commit her life to Christ - I baptized her in the Jordan River two days later - it doesn't get any better than that for a preacher!
